Neonates and Children with:
- Positional club foot, Hand deformities
- Cerebral palsy, Stiff hands / feet as a result of increased tone or the presence of contractures
- Bells & Erbs palsy
- A variety of other conditions such as spinal injuries, muscular dystrophies, neuropathies
- Rheumatoid Conditions
- Children who have suffered from burns
What are splints?
Splints are specialized orthotics that are fabricated specifically for each child according to their specific needs and are used in conjunction with therapy. They can be made from either hard or soft material depending on its use and the child’s needs.
Splints can be used to:
- Aid in functional skills
- Provide extra support & protection
- As static splints to prevent further deformity or contractures.
